Rather than keeping notes, maps, and flashcards in separate apps, Traverse links them together: a card can connect directly to the part of a mind map or note where the concept lives, giving learners rich context when reviewing. This connected structure is based on cognitive science research showing that meaningful associations and retrieval practice are the two most powerful drivers of long-term retention. Students can import Anki decks to bring existing flashcard collections into Traverse, and the app generates a spaced repetition schedule that adapts based on performance.
